The food drive is off to a good start. Both schools are participating. High School students will be taking food to the food bank tomorrow. If you feel like bringing something extra to the concert tonight, please place it under the tree. Thank you!

The 3rd grade classes did a STEM activity where they created carnival games out of cardboard and invited parents, teachers, and students to come try out the games.

Congratulations to Jack Mattson and Ben Thompson for being named to the Class A Football East Region Team for the 2024 season and to Wyatt Johnson and Tyson Leshuk for receiving Honorable Mention honors.

All after school activities/practices have been cancelled for this evening. There are places in the country that are very difficult to drive through. We are still sending buses, but if you happen to be in town please feel free to pick up your children. Thank you.

Hello Parents. At 7:00 PM in the high school library we will have an organizational meeting for a Parent-Teacher Organization. Now through December 17th we will also be holding a food drive for our local Food Pantry. Items will be collected at both schools. Thank you!

Hello,
My name is Spencer Ruebke and I am the Elementary Principal at Hillsboro Elementary. In the month of November, we finished our first trimester of school. We had a Veterans Day program at the Elementary that was well attended by students and the community. I saw a variety of project-based learning activities going on in classrooms. A few examples include: building models of Native American dwellings, literacy related art projects, creating carnival games out of cardboard, engaging math games, and Thanksgiving-themed literacy activities. We have three weeks of school in December before our break. I want to applaud the families of Hillsboro Elementary for being great communicators with teachers and school staff. Children learn better when we have great partnerships built up between home and school! As always, please encourage your children to read every night! I will attach two links below. One of them is a link to family information on our AR program. The other is a link to the Booster Club clothing store. Orders should be made before December 12th to ensure delivery by Christmas. Happy Holidays!

The elementary school had a fun "glow party" today. Each class got to come to the gym to dance and let out some energy for 20 minutes. Happy Thanksgiving Burros!

Mrs. Nagel's class played ‘Minute to Win It’ games before the holiday break. They worked on teamwork and not giving up! The four games they played were; Cookie Face, Kleenex Tear, Nose Dive, and M&M Race! They even got to have a class snowball fight with Kleenex! Afterwards, they wrote about their favorite game and why it was fun. Then, they illustrated a picture to match!

Today we had an Elementary Assembly to celebrate all of the great things happening in our school. The focus today was on "Creating a Positive Vision." Thank you to the booster club for the cool keychains!

On Monday, December 2nd there will be an organizational meeting in the High School Library to discuss forming a Parent-Teacher Organization. The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM. This message and picture are meant to whet your appetite, but we won't be serving burgers.

Due to our current road conditions and ongoing weather there will be no practice after school and no afternoon or evening activities at St. Rose Catholic Church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, or St. John Lutheran Church.
