Mrs. Nagel’s class read the book, “Our Class is a Family”, by Shannon Olsen. The book shares about different types of families, children with different needs, and how being kind is the best way to be! Their class talked about how their classroom is a type of family too. Students then made their very own creative friendship bracelets, all while helping each other tie them together. Nice work, first graders! #BurroPride

Hillsboro Elementary is hiring a full night-time custodian. This is a 12-month position. Benefits include: Health/Dental/Vision insurance, Retirement (5.5% of retirement is paid by the employer), Vacation, Paid Leave, and LTD insurance. Starting Wage: $15.50 or DOE. Job duties include: Keep classrooms, bathrooms locker rooms and office areas in the building in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing garbage from the building. Working hours are from 2:30PM — 11:00PM.
We are also hiring a special education para professional for this school year. This is a 9-month position. Working hours are from 8:15 am - 3:15 pm. Benefits include: Health insurance, retirement, and paid leave. Starting wage: $15.00 or DOE. Job duties include: Working with students who need additional help in learning or with specific behaviors.
