Thank you Hillsboro PULSE and Lee Erickson for bringing back The Mash Unit for our 7-12 students. Todays presentation was on drugs and mental health. We loved the loud music 📻, dancing, interaction, and stories that you shared with us. 🙌

Did you know that Hillsboro School offers ESports to our students through Fenworks? Fenworks school programs follow three distinct pillars: Curriculum, Competition, and Coaching. Each pillar is designed to make school's work more simple while providing the most fun to students. Check out our video: https://youtu.be/Jji3gVRNTnc
Esports offer much more than the thrill of competition to players. Games actively require team coordination and decision-making. This develops strong communications skills in students to play effectively. Esports provides a strong, inclusive community where students meet others with similar interests. Students can combine their passion for ESports with viable career paths. Specialties like engineering, game design, business operations, content production, physical training, and more all exist in the ever-growing world of ESports.

Thank you 👏👏Northern Lights Pulse for sponsoring Jessie Funk - a Mental Health Therapist. Some of her takeaways were:
What to say when someone is mean: “When you say those words. I don’t like that. “
When someone is being awful to you, say to yourself, “A truly happy person doesn’t mean to be mean.”
If you are ready to lash out check this acronym to see if it fits: Are you…
🫤Bored
😔Lonely
😡Angry
😋Hungry
😵💫Tired
Emotions are chemicals. What will shift chemicals in your body?
🏋️♂️Exercise = endorphins
🤗Hugs = oxytocin
🎤Music and 🥲crying also work.
