Hello, My name is Spencer Ruebke and I am the Elementary Principal at Hillsboro Elementary. In the month of March, we participated in DEAR reading, dress up days, and book drawings. These were fun ways to celebrate reading month. We will begin our final round of testing in the month of April. With testing, I always like to encourage students and families to have a healthy breakfast and get in a good sleep routine. Various field trips will take place as the weather gets nicer this month. The fire department is coming in to teach the students and give brief tours of the trucks and equipment. Thank you HFD. More fun things like elementary track and field day will be coming in May, which we have tentatively planned for May 15th. Please continue to have your child read every night at home. We look forward to the fun and busy times that spring brings at the elementary school. Thank you so much! Important April dates: April 4th- Fire department education April 10th- early dismissal April 18th- no school April 21st- no school Parent Reminder- We will be outside for recess as much as possible. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. If you’re missing clothing items, encourage your child to look through the lost and found items located in the hallway near the elementary office.
